Title:
Endocrine Society Issues Position Statement on Menopausal Hormone Therapy

Date Written:
07 Jul 2010

Item:
The Endocrine Society has issued a statement regarding the use of HRT. This statement supports much of what the BMS and other Menopause organisations have been saying for some time with regard to the safety of HRT in perimenopausal and recently postmenopausal women.

The statement should facilitate the use of HRT and so women in need should no longer be denied prescription on the basis of the original analysis of WHI. If you are interested in reading more, then please click on this link.

The Endocrine Society is an international body with 14,000 members from over 100 countries. The Society's diverse membership represents medicine, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, physiology, genetics, immunology, education, industry and allied health fields.
